Exhibition for Denmark’s largest infrastructure project
Femern A/S is currently building the world’s longest immersed tunnel in Rødbyhavn. It’s a huge project that will create thousands of jobs for years to come. The Fehmarn Belt Fixed Link opens in 2029. It’ll take 7 minutes by train or 10 minutes by car to drive through the tunnel, which will be 18 km long. Together with Femern A/S, BGRAPHIC has developed a new exhibition of approx. 250 sqm. in the construction coordination center at Havnevej 2 in Rødbyhavn. The exhibition is open to everyone. You can see the opening hours here.
The exhibition features a 1:700 model of a tunnel element and the working harbor with the tunnel factory where the elements for the tunnel are cast. There are a total of 89 elements in the tunnel. Each element is 217 m long. BGRAPHIC developed a concept and design for the entire exhibition. The model was developed together with Tegnestuen Substans. Sodemann helped us with the production of posters and the mounting of the frames. PVM Reklame from Maribo mounted foil on windows and produced and mounted the signs. We designed the exhibition so that it’s easy to update and replace the content. So we can add new elements to the exhibition as the construction work continues.
The exhibition describes each process of the construction. For safety reasons, access to the construction site is not permitted. If you want to experience the construction site up close, you can visit the lookout tower at the end of Gl. Badevej in Rødbyhavn. There are leaflets at the exhibition that you can take home. There are videos describing the project, live streaming from the construction site and, at weekends, the exhibition is staffed with guides who can answer your questions.
We hope that you’ll swing by Rødbyhavn so you can visit this great exhibition 🙂
