The parking information is now displayed on screens

PARKINCPH – a part of By & Havn – has taken the next step in its digital transformation when communicating with customers in its parking facilities. By & Havn has installed TV screens in the new parking facility at Nordhavns Plads. The TV screens are located at all exits and provide information about parking rules, prices, and payment methods. Foreign visitors can scan a QR code on the screens to access the same information in English on their mobile devices. The content on the TV screens can be updated continuously and tailored to each specific parking facility. The screens can also include service announcements relevant to a particular parking facility or even a specific floor within the parking house. All of this is, of course, managed centrally.

Specific information and rules for individual parking spaces can be accessed via analog signs. Analog signs are also used for outdoor parking areas managed by PARKINCPH.

BGRAPHIC has conducted two workshops to clarify the signage and information needs of the parking facilities. The parking houses are divided into zones, where wayfinding uses two colors – orange and light green – which, combined with icons, guide drivers to available spaces and spots for specific vehicle types, such as shared cars, electric vehicles, and handicap-accessible vehicles. The digital information and analog signs are designed to complement the wayfinding by being strategically placed to provide customers with the right information at the right time and place. The design and information are friendly and welcoming. The signs are light-colored, with orange in the orange zones and green in the light green zones. These color codes help customers remember the area where they parked. In this way, the signage becomes an integrated part of the wayfinding system. There is also a clear distinction between PARKINCPH’s information and the mandatory legal signage required in all public parking facilities. Analog signage in outdoor parking areas is always orange.
