Project inspiring interdisciplinary collaboration between upper secondary schools and museums
STEAM at Museums is a two-year project (2023–2025) involving nine upper secondary schools and seven museums in partnerships that collaborate to develop, implement, and evaluate how museums can be used as learning resources and arenas for STEAM-based educational programs. The project combines Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics with Arts, creating a new holistic approach to teaching.
The magazine STEAM at Museums gathers the experiences gained in this field and describes the methods that have been applied. The magazine has an aesthetic and engaging format, using a varied design with descriptions and photos from the activities between students and museums, as well as process descriptions that can inspire upper secondary school teachers and museum professionals in future collaborations.
The project is supported by Region Midts’ Cultural Fund, Region Midts Education Fund, and the association Intrface.
