IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature) is an independent international conservation organization whose mission is to promote the preservation and sustainable use of natural resources. It does so by leveraging the experience and influence of more than 1,400 member organizations and around 17,000 experts, making IUCN one of the world’s leading authorities on the state of nature and a key initiator of projects aimed at protecting it.
In close collaboration with its headquarters in Switzerland, Phoenix Design Aid has developed IUCN’s Annual Report for 2024. The project was a full-service delivery, with PDAid responsible for the entire process: from editorial strategy, research, interviews, content coordination, and copywriting, to the final delivery of the report in three languages: English, French, and Spanish.
As the new kid in the PDAid class, BGRAPHIC was in charge of design development, layout, and language versions. The design was based on IUCN’s brand guidelines but has been refreshed with a modern and light visual expression, featuring stunning nature photography and easy-to-understand infographics. It also sets the tone for the organization’s future annual reports.
Through the combination of strong content and compelling design, the annual report enhances IUCN’s credibility and authority while helping to attract future partners and donors to support the vital mission of protecting nature around the world.
